In 2019, the European Commission presented a set of proposals to make the EU’s climate, energy, transport and taxation policies fit for reducing net greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% by 2030, compared to 1990 levels

One of the areas where work is ongoing is transport, which contributes around 5% of EU GDP and employing more than 10 million people in Europe, making the transport system critical to European businesses and global supply chains.
